Matthew 14:25–31 · King James Version

  1. Read

25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. 26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. 27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. 28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. 29 And he said, Come. 2. Reflect

Jesus comes to his frightened disciples on the sea and says, 'Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.' When Peter sinks and cries out, Jesus immediately stretches out his hand and catches him. Little faith is still met by a ready hand.

  3. Pray

Lord, when I look at the wind and begin to sink, save me. Thank you that your hand is quicker than my doubt. Amen.

  4. One step

Pray 'Lord, save me' at the moment you feel overwhelmed today, then take the next step.
