Rest without pretending

Matthew 11:28–30 · King James Version

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Reflect

Jesus does not ask the weary to hide their burden. He invites them to come, learn his gentleness, and receive a different way of carrying what remains.

Pray

Jesus, I bring you what is heavy today. Teach me your gentleness and give my heart true rest. Amen.

One step

Name one burden honestly. Ask for help from God or from one trustworthy person.
