Free one-year reading plan
Read the Bible in 2027: a free one-year Bible reading plan
Read the whole Bible in 2027, Genesis to Revelation, in 3 or 4 chapters a day. The plan covers all 1,189 chapters of the 66 books, one day at a time from Friday, January 1 to Friday, December 31, 2027. At an ordinary reading pace most days take about 10 to 15 minutes.
Every chapter below opens in the King James Version on this site, and from any chapter you can switch to another edition such as the Berean Standard Bible.
How the plan works
- The plan reads straight through the Bible in the order printed in most Bibles. Psalms begin on Thursday, May 27, Isaiah on Wednesday, July 28, the New Testament with Matthew on Wednesday, October 13, and Revelation on Saturday, December 25.
- Each day has 3 or 4 whole chapters, so some days are longer than others: a long chapter such as Psalm 119 sits beside short ones.
- Missed a day? Add a chapter or two to the next few days, or simply carry on from today’s date. The boxes on the printable pages show what is left; nobody is keeping score.
- The 66 books are those in Protestant Bibles. Catholic and Orthodox Bibles also include Tobit, Judith, Wisdom, Sirach, Baruch, 1 and 2 Maccabees and other books; this plan does not schedule them, but you can read them in the Douay–Rheims on Bible Gateway.
